Capoeira in Harmony Day

IT WAS GREAT!
A really pleasant afternoon celebatring the harmony of the people, just like capoeira.
Thanks for Contra-mestre Borracha, Instrutor Bruno, Raffi and Panameño, thanks Isabel and Luciane from Crows Nest Community Centre.
Capoeira was created from the ability of the slaves in creating harmony even in the worst condition ever possible for a human. To survive and preserve their culture, they exchanged their different customs, giving bith to capoeira. To fight for freedom they united in harmony.
Hope everyone enjoyed our contribution to the event and the energy.
Axé!

Next Aberre Capoeira Exhibition

Nothing better to celebrate the Multicultural Day than a capoeira exhibition!
Capoeira is an art-form created and developed in Brazil by different ethnical groups brought from Africa to be slaves. Also some native indigenous and even european features were added on it along the centuries!
It involves dance, martial art, acrobatics and music. The mix of these different features generates an unique energy that makes its pactitioner overcome physical and spiritual limits.
Capoeira is a living proof that multiculturality can bring forth a positive development from a democratic society!
Come and enjoy!!!
